About Dr Kate Jordaan
Founder and CEO of HealthMed GP
​
I started off my career as an advanced life support paramedic and then went on to study medicine at UCT. I did both internship and community service at the district hospital in Khayelitsha where I gained a wealth of experience.
After that, I found myself working in various private emergency centres around Cape Town as well as in underprivileged old age homes, care facilities and step down facilities. This is where I developed my passion for the care and well being of our geriatric and underserved populations.
I then worked at a tertiary trauma centre in Cape Town where I have enjoyed refining my skills in caring for acutely injured patients.

I have since been working with Dr Les Smith at his well-established practice in Pinelands, where I will continue my career as a general practitioner.
​
I started Healthmed general practice with the aim to provide general healthcare as an all round family practitioner. We strive to provide care for patients from all walks of life and want to make sure everyone gets the care they need.

A paramedic by trade with a decade of experience in Emergency Medical care. Louis takes care of the behind-the-scenes management of the practice.

Decades of experience in reception work and has been a part of this community medical practice for 10 years.
